When our baby was born, my husband and I decided I would quit my job as a receptionist in a doctor’s office so I could stay home with our son. I had no problem with the decision since I was looking forward to motherhood. Also, I could always return to work some day if I wanted. We quickly realized how difficult it is to make ends meet on a single income in today’s economy. I saw a magazine advertisement about training for careers online and thought that might be a possible solution to our financial problems. As a read further, I found that I could take courses for medical transcription online. as well as work from home. Medical transcription is a fast growing field in the work-at-home job market with many doctors choosing to outsource their transcription work. That way I could be trained to earn a second income and stay at home with my baby.
