Executor of will sold strip mall
My brother in law was a real estate tycoon in Chicago. He owned over 39 properties scattered in 6 states and when he died suddenly last September in a head on collision car crash I was named the executor of will for his estate. At first, I thought my role was simple but later, I found out that I had to sell all his properties. It took over 3 and a half years. The largest asset he had was a strip mall in the suburbs of Chicago. The area has seen a lot of growth and we sold it for over $4.6 million. I was happy to help out my sister and her kids.
