Will the Government Ever End Withholding Taxes?
A lot of people wish they didn’t have taxes taken out of their paychecks, but is it likely this will ever stop? I don’t know if the government will ever want to end withholding taxes since this guarantees them at least a portion of the income they want to get from us. They don’t have to worry about coming after us for at least that much, unlike the rest of the taxes that we owe that some people may or may not end up paying. If they do it will have to be because they have another, better way to ensure they get the income they want and need to run the country.
