Alessi kitchen accessories a super brand of the 1980′s and now
Officina Alessi was Alessi’s super-brand during the 1980s and was reborn in 2006. Its purpose remains the same, to stand alongside the company’s industrial production while giving form to an aspect of Alessi’s activity which, before the creation of this brand, was destined to remain on paper or in the prototype phase. It represents the desire, in other words, to pursue advanced research with a high degree of formal, constructive and functional innovation that we could even call experimental, free from the strictures normally imposed by large-scale industrial production. Complementary rather than incompatible with the Alessi core brand and the new A di Alessi line, Officina Alessi carves out a new niche in the ever more articulated panorama of the contemporary market, reiterating its mission as advanced research laboratory in the field of design as applied to les arts de la table.
