Do You Need to Change Your Workout?

Some fitness experts claim that to insure that your body continues to respond to your workouts you should change the program on a regular basis. Say your ab exercises were the crunch and the leg lift. After a month or so, you would change over to the bicycle exercise and sit ups. They say this is beneficial because your muscles will not become acclimated to the workout and always expect the same things. It’s been described as ‘shocking the muscles’. However, other experts think that’s not necessary. They say there’s no need  to change your workout until you reach a plateau. Then changing exercises may be the answer. But keep in mind that you should not be doing the same exercises with the same weights for the same number of sets and reps every workout. You need to increase either the weight or the number of sets or reps on a regular basis. However, if you’ve been doing this and still encounter a lack of progress, then you may need to change your routine.
