Arch Pain

Arch pain can be due to a whole range of problems. The most common is probably plantar fasciitis, which is a strong of the long ligament that job is to hold the arch up. So anything, like a higher body weight, high levels of activity, tight calf muscles, poor shoes or poor biomechanics that puts pressure on the arch is likely to cause plantar fasciitis. Other causes of arch pain include strains of the ligaments that support the joints of the arch. In advance cases, arthritis can affect these joints.
