Knowing about Reciprocating Compressors and More
The reciprocating compressors, also known as piston compressors, are categorized under positive-displacement compressors where the pistons deliver gases at a high pressure. These pistons are driven by crankshaft and there are portable reciprocating compressors too. They can either be oil inject or oil free compressors but the air pressure within the reciprocating compressor will be high. They have multiple applications in oil refineries¸ chemical plants, gas pipelines, refrigeration plants, natural gas processing plants, and for blowing plastic bottles that are made out of Polyethylene Terephthalate. You can learn more about the functioning of each part and overall operation of reciprocating compressors for better understanding.
