Vintage Easter Memories
What we now call vintage Easter was once brand new. In fact, I remember seeing some of the same vintage Easter images available on the Internet now when I was a little girl. I remember dressing up for the holiday and going to church, even though we weren’t religious. My mother dressed me in a white hat, frilly socks and gloves, a pastel colored dress and gave me a tiny white patent leather purse to carry. I also had a huge Easter basket, filled with multi-colored plastic eggs. Inside each were chocolate eggs wrapped in brightly colored foil wrappers. Come to think of it, those chocolate eggs were usually stale! But I didn’t mind; I loved Easter.
