Cutting Back the Visits
My mother lives across the country. She usually makes sure to visit every three months to visit the kids. She said she is not going to let 3000 miles keep her from watching her grandchildren grow up. Recently with the economic downturn and the astronomical fees and airline ticket price increases, she has had to cut back on the visits. I feel awful, and wish I could help, but we can’t afford the cost, either. I had an idea that may cheer her up, though. I think I will make photo calendar with pictures of the kids to send her. I know she will love it.
